YOUNGSTOWN - The Alzheimer's Association rallied support at Youngstown State University on Saturday through their Walk to End Alzheimer's.

According to Melissa Shelton, the Northeast Ohio Alzheimer's Association Executive Director, the walk was designed to bring together people with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia, caregivers and people who have loved ones that have been disgnosed with Alzherimer's and get them the resources or information they need to navigate their situation as best as they can.

58 people pre-registered for the event raising $19,686 for the Association. That's 24% of their goal of $82,000 with the rest being up to the teams that registered and donated day-of.
