Dog owners in Columbia took part in a fundraising event on Saturday to raise money for Huntington's disease.
The Columbia chapter of the Huntington's Disease Society of America hosted a "Hounds for Huntington's" event at Twin Lakes, where dog owners could bring their pets and take part in activities.
Saturday's event included a walk with dogs, a trick contest for the pups and also a raffle.
Candance Rodman, the chairman for the Columbia HDSA chapter, said she's personally been affected by Huntington's disease.
"I've lost a lot of family members to it," Rodman said.
She's lost cousins, uncles, aunts and even her father. Rodman said fundraises for Huntington's to give other families what her family members never got — a cure.
