LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - An officer with the Louisville Metro Police Department was named a 40 Under 40 Awardee by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
According to IACP, the awardees showcase the top rising leaders in law enforcement who exemplify leadership, dedication and serivce to their communities.
LMPD Officer DeAris Hoard was recognized alongside 39 others from around the world. Officials say he serves as a coordinator in LMPD’s Research and Strategic Advancement Unit and is working to transform the future of policing. He has both a Master’s Degree and a PhD in criminal justice.
“Officer Hoard’s commitment to bridging the gap between research and operations is reshaping how police agencies train, evaluate, and support their officers — not just in Louisville,
