LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - They say legends are born in October. If you’re still playing ball at this point in the year, then you must be pretty good.

While the MLB playoffs might be in the spotlight for many this month, a group of baseball players is making a name for themselves right here in Louisville.

Rory McGrath is a member of the Miracle League of Louisville, an organization that gives kids with physical or developmental disabilities an opportunity to have their moment in the limelight.

Rory says she’s spent the last five seasons with the league.

“There’s a lot of people like me, but not the same disability, and it’s just really special to me, it just makes me happy,” Rory said.

Rory plays infield, outfield and bats, which is an area where her dad says she really shines.
