On Saturday at 4:18 p.m. a coastal flood warning was released by the National Weather Service valid from Sunday noon until Monday 6 p.m. for Queens.

The weather service states, "2 to 2 1/2 ft, possibly 3 feet of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline for the Sunday afternoon, Sunday Night, and Monday afternoon high tide cycles."

The weather service adds, "Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth."
