LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The 85th annual Arkansas State Fair kicked off in a big way on Friday.
According to fair organizers, a crowd of 49,170 Arkansans attended opening day, making it the second-largest opening day in state fair history.
“We knew opening day would be strong, but seeing that kind of turnout was incredible,” said Arkansas State Fair general manager Tiffany Wilkerson. “It ended up being the second biggest opening day we’ve ever had, and I think that shows just how excited people are to be back at the fair.”
“The weather was perfect, the crowd energy was amazing, and you could feel that electric vibe all across the fairgrounds,” Watkins continued. “From the food to the rides, everything came together just right. We couldn’t have asked for a better start.”
