MCEWEN, Tenn. (WSMV) - More than 24 hours after a massive detonation leveled an explosives plant in Tennessee, law enforcement confirmed that no survivors have been recovered.

The catastrophic explosion at Ac c urate Energetic Systems has stunned what local leaders describe as a tight-knit and small community, personally touching emergency responders and even law enforcement.

The emotional toll of the tragedy was palpable during a Saturday morning press conference as Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis joined other local leaders to relay the devastating news.

“Anyone inside the building, we can assume they are deceased,” he said.
