A man is dead after he was pulled from the Connecticut River Saturday, police said.
According to Middletown Police, police and fire personnel responded to a report just before 7:30 a.m. of a vehicle driving into the river near Harbor Drive in Middletown. The dive teams of the two departments found the vehicle with a man’s body inside. They recovered the man’s body from the submerged vehicle and removed the vehicle, police said.
Police identified the man as Gautam Ramesh Mirchandani, 51, of Stamford and offered their condolences to his family and friends.
