LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is investigating a fatal crash in Lexington County on Friday night.

According to the Highway Patrol, the crash took place at around 9:35 p.m. on Mountain Drive near Chapin Road.

Troopers said the crash occurred when a 2023 Kia SUV traveling east hit a pedestrian, who died on the scene.

This collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
