PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. (WSIL) -- Two people were injured after a single-vehicle crash in southeast Missouri on Saturday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol stated the crash happened on October 11, at 1:35 a.m. along Highway K, roughly two miles south of Portageville.
State police said a 21-year-old man from Hayti, Missouri, was driving a 2007 Saturn Ion going north when the vehicle ran off the road and flipped over.
An 18-year-old female passenger from Blytheville was in the vehicle at the time of the crash. State police reported she had serious injuries and was taken to Missouri Delta Hospital in Sikeston for treatment. The driver was transported to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti for treatment of minor injuries.
The Saturn Ion was reported totaled.
