CLEVELAND, Ohio – Fat Head’s Brewery in Middleburg Heights won an astounding six awards – five medals along with one of the prestigious brewery-of-the-year honors – at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver on Saturday.
Fat Head’s and JAFB in Wooster were winners from Northeast Ohio at GABF, the largest beer competition in the United States. Overall, the state’s breweries won 21 medals – Ohio’s best showing ever.
Fat Head’s also garnered a key honor: It was named Brewery of the Year in the 15,001-to-100,000 barrel production category. Cincinnati’s Third Eye Brewing also took home a Brewery of the Year award, earning the most medals among breweries in the 2,001-5,000 barrel division.
Fat Head’s now has tallied 35 total GABF awards cumulatively.
