Police have arrested two men on suspicion of murdering disgraced rock star Ian Watkins in prison.
The former Lostprophets frontman, who was serving a 29 year prison sentence for sexually abusing children, died in HMP Wakefield this morning. Tonight, West Yorkshire Police said two men, aged 25 and 43, had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The force said its Homicide and Major Enquiry Team is investigating the incident, and that the two suspects remain in police custody.
West Yorkshire Police said: "Detectives have launched a murder investigation after the death of a man in HMP Wakefield. Officers were called by staff at the prison at 9.39am this morning (Saturday 11 October) to reports of a serious assault on a prisoner.
