There is nothing better than a great plot twist. Predictability can be dull, so audiences always crave unexpected turns, big reveals, and shocking endings. Any movie with a great twist is likely to stay engraved in the mind, compared to one where events flow as aspects. The writers and directors of horror movies have thus put in great effort over the years, treating genre lovers to some of the craziest twists. Still, it isn’t advisable to rely too much on twists to keep a film engaging. Strong storytelling and characterization are essential.
