ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Another sure sign of fall made an appearance in Albuquerque Saturday as Dixon's Apple Orchard made its annual drop off. The orchard first planted roots in New Mexico back in 1944, but fires and flooding moved the operation out of state in 2012.
Every year since then, the Mullane family has made a trip back to the Land of Enchantment, filling semi trucks with bins of champagne apples, honeycrisp apples, and more. The Mullane family says coming back always feels like home.
"We love coming back here. We will never forget the customer base we had here and the wonderful people that love our apples. We're just so glad to bring them down from Wisconsin," says Dixon's Apple Orchard's Luke Mullane.
