DENVER — Weeks before the fall season ever started, Monarch flag football head coach Colin Hart knew his girls were destined for great things. There wasn’t a doubt in his mind they would make the Class 4A state playoffs in their first year as a program.

That prediction is about to become a reality.

Following Saturday’s 44-0 beatdown of Lincoln, the Coyotes enjoyed the No. 8 ranking in CHSAA’s Selection & Seeding Index, all but ensuring they’ll go dancing in the playoffs next week. They’ll learn their first-round fate Sunday when the brackets are released.
