AUSTIN, Texas — The winning ways have returned for the Texas Longhorns.
The Longhorns got a much needed first SEC win of the season on Saturday, topping Oklahoma 23-6 in the 2025 Red River Rivalry game in Dallas on Saturday.
The Longhorns entered Saturday's game in a precarious position, having looked lethargic offensively in a loss to Florida in their SEC opener last week. Questions surrounded the Longhorn offense ahead of a matchup with a Sooner defense that ranks among the top units nationally in numerous team defensive stats.
While it wasn't the most dazzling statistical performance, the Longhorn offense responded to those concerns by playing a clean, efficient, turnover-free game.
