A stony-faced James Franklin was swiftly led from the field to a chorus of boos after Penn State’s third straight loss this season.

Franklin was greeted by his family as they walked into the tunnel.

It’s the second shocking loss to a team considered to a severe underdog against the Nittany Lions.

Quarterback Drew Allar left the game with an apparent lower leg injury just before Northwestern ran out the clock to win the game, 22-21.
