Getting Into the Halloween Spirit

Halloween is right around the corner, and one of my family’s favorite things to do is dress up and go trick-or-treating! If it were acceptable for adults to ask for candy, I’d have no shame whatsoever.

Our Family Halloween Tradition

This year, we’ve already gone camping and hit the trick-or-treat trail at Lincoln State Park. (Fun fact: they do ToT every weekend in October!) Every year, we try to do a family theme.

This year, we went as “Justice Is Blind.” My friend’s son Trey was our judge. And yes, he’s actually blind, so his cane wasn’t a prop. My daughter was a police officer, and Katie and I were robbers who had apparently been caught. The costumes were the most cost-effective ones on Amazon, and neither of us wanted to wear an orange jumpsuit. Oka
