AMSTERDAM — The play was called with the hopes of simply netting any sort of positive yardage. No gain would’ve been too short. However, what it turned up was a moment that will be remembered by those a part of it forever.

Early in the fourth quarter, facing a third down and 33, backed up to the shadow of its own end zone, Amsterdam football dialed up a simple pass play, designed to get the special teams unit a little more breathing room for an upcoming punt attempt. Instead, the unthinkable happened.
