HUNTINGTON — Marshall's football team had complete control over Old Dominion for coach Tony Gibson’s first Sun Belt Conference victory on Saturday, 48-24.
“Really, really proud of this football team. It’s been a hard two weeks for coaches and players. My biggest thing today was 'believe.' That was the message yesterday and this morning in our team meeting,” Gibson said. “We have to believe we can win. Man, did they play good. Played hard. Different guys stepped up at different times and made plays all over the field.”
