BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - LSU Police are investigating reports of shots fired near Highland Road and Dalrymple Drive, close to the LSU Law Center.

Students received a campus alert urging them to avoid the area as officers responded.

According to the Baton Rouge Emergency Medical Services, two people were injured and transported to the hospital.

LSU PD confirmed that Highland Road is currently closed from Dalrymple to State Street. They suggest people avoid the area and monitor emergency communications for additional updates.
