Norfolk State closed out its non-conference slate with a 31-14 road loss to Wofford on Saturday afternoon at Gibbs Stadium. Despite a strong start and a pair of touchdown passes from Otto Kuhns, the Spartans were ultimately outpaced by the Terriers, who earned their first win of the season.
The game opened with promise for Norfolk State, as the Spartans marched 82 yards on their opening drive. Kuhns connected with Elyjah Mitchell for a 12-yard score to give NSU an early lead. Wofford responded quickly with a touchdown of its own, then added another in the second quarter to enter halftime up 14-7.
