PORTALES, New Mexico (KFDA) - In their first home game since Sept. 13th, the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds faced off against the Western Oregon Wolves in a hard-fought contest that saw the Wolves come out on top with a final score of 21-18.

The Greyhounds started strong, taking a 10-0 lead into halftime.

However, the Wolves came alive in the second half, scoring quick touchdowns at the beginning of both the third and fourth quarters to seize the lead.

Eastern New Mexico attempted a late comeback, but their efforts fell just short, resulting in a narrow victory for Western Oregon.

With this loss, the Greyhounds’ record drops to 1-5.

They will be back in action next week in Canyon for the Wagon Wheel Rivalry against the West Texas A&M Buffs.
