Chris’ Famous Hotdogs, the oldest restaurant in Montgomery, has been sold to a new owner who will take over the 108-year old landmark later this month.

Owner Angia Katechis and the family said in a letter to customers that, “Since 1917, our little stand at 138 Dexter Avenue has been more than just a place to grab a bite – it’s been a gathering spot, a piece of history, and a labor of love passed down through generations.

“We’ve had the honor of serving governors, presidents, athletes, musicians, movie stars and visitors from around the world. But the true stars of our story have always been you – the people of Montgomery. Your smiles, your stories, your loyalty – they
