The nightmare continues for Penn State.

Nittany Lions quarterback Drew Allar will miss the remainder of the college football season, head coach James Franklin announced Saturday after Penn State’s 22-21 loss to Northwestern at State College, Pa.

“Drew will be done for the year,” Franklin said. 3

Allar, a 21-year-old senior, suffered an apparent leg injury on a third-down play late in Saturday’s loss.

He limped off the field with help and was replaced by backup Ethan Grunkemeyer, who was stopped on Penn State’s fourth-down attempt on the next play.

Following the hit, Allar lay in pain while grabbing his left leg for a few moments before training staff helped him off.

After undergoing further evaluation on the sidelines, Allar was carted to the locker room.
