Matthew Schmidt put in a pair of goals and added an assist as New Providence defeated host Whippany Park, 4-1.
Lorenzo Serrajotto assisted on Schmidt’s first goal and followed up with his team-best 15th of the season to give the Pioneers a 2-0 halftime lead.
New Providence (8-2-1) has won back-to-back games and outscored those two opponents, 8-1. Schmidt has 13 goals this season.
Youssef Ahmad scored the lone goal for Whippany Park, now 8-5-1.
