COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) -- We're coming up on Halloween, but on Saturday, people went out to Columbiana for an early Christmas celebration.

Nothing beats a good, old-fashioned Christmas. With 230 vendors and thousands of attendees, Shaker Woods kicked off its 31st annual holiday craft festival.

"We have things that are actually Christmas things: snowmen, Santa Claus, that kind of Christmas floral. But then we also have things that you're going to use every day," said Linda McGaffic, owner of Christmas in the Woods. "We have pottery, we have baskets, we have furniture -- all those things, too."

Thirty years ago, Linda and her husband got the idea for the festival. Since then, it's become a tradition for hundreds of families to get a head start on their Christmas shopping.
