LSU officials say no threat to campus after shots reported near Dalrymple and Highland

BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU officials say there is no current threat to campus following reports of shots fired near Dalrymple Drive and Highland Road Saturday night.

LSUPD is investigating the incident. Several nearby roads remain closed, including Highland Road from Dalrymple to State Street and East Chimes.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
