N.C. State football hung around with Notre Dame in the first half, but the 16th-ranked Fighting Irish turned a tight game into a 36-7 throttling of the Wolfpack in Week 7 of the 2025 college football season.

N.C. State (4-3, 1-2) was outscored 26-0 in the second half after trailing by three at halftime. The Fighting Irish (4-2) scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to pull away with a 24-7.

Quarterback CJ Carr powered that surge with a pair of TD passes to start the second half for the Irish, which racked up nearly 500 yards of offense. Notre Dame's defense snagged a trio of interceptions to go with a safety in the fourth quarter. The Pack was limited to 87 yards in the second half.
