HERMANTOWN, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Over 70 cats from three different animal shelters were available to adopt at Subaru’s ‘Love a Pet’ adoption event.

Lake County Humane Society, Chequamegon Humane Association, and The Babinski Foundation brought cats of every age and breed. Each was waiting to find their forever home.

Within only a few hours of the event, almost 30 cats were adopted.

Donna Sutton, Director of The Babinski Foundation, said ‘Love-A-Pet’ is their biggest adoption event of the year, and it gives their previously overlooked cats a chance to find their family.

“It gives the animals that maybe don’t get out of the shelter, maybe have been with us for a long time, gives them more exposure and a better opportunity for adoption,” said Sutton.
