There’s a tradition for games in Lubbock, Texas, that early in the game, there’s a moment where scores of fans throw tortillas onto the field. According to a report by the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal in late August, fans have been encouraged to throw them in that manner only after the opening kickoff and not thereafter.
