Algonac Lions aim to improve children’s eyesight

ALGONAC, MI — The Algonac Lions Club has taken a major step toward improving children’s vision health with the purchase of its own screening camera, ending years of reliance on borrowed equipment from other districts.

The new Plusoptix vision camera allows Lions members to provide free eye screenings for children ages 6 months to 18 years old, identifying potential vision problems early — when they’re easiest to correct.
