The Carrie E. and Lena V. Glenn Foundation awarded grants to 18 Gaston organizations in 2025, bringing its total contributions to local non-profits up to more than $10 million since 1972.

This year, some of the grant money will fund the construction of the Spencer Mountain Trail, Home Furnishings Delivery with From Hearts 2 Homes Carolina’s, the Wash Hut at Myers Memorial United Methodist Church, and Meds on the Go at Holy Angels, according to a press release.

Strong Like AK was also a first-time grant recipient this year and will use the funda to continue providing, “financial care, housing, and lasting memories,” for families facing childhood cancer in Gaston County, it said.
