Jonathan "Johnboy" Beatty feels like the Dallas Cowboys are underdogs. That's why he likes them.

Beatty, 33, has loved the team since he was a child.

"I wanted to be opposite and pull for a team nobody in my family or friends pulled for," he said.

The Cowboys are playing the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte on Sunday, and Beatty, who was diagnosed with stomach cancer several weeks ago, hopes to meet them.

"In my eyes, they always will still be America's team," Beatty said. "Win or lose."

Johnboy has a motorcycle that was gifted to him by a friend, Raja Gupta.

Another friend, Steve Rhyne, took it back to his house, and Beatty thought he was going to clean it. Instead, Rhyne repainted the motorcycle in Dallas Cowboys colors.

"When I seen the bike, I just broke down crying," he said.
