One person is dead and at least two others injured after a rollover crash involving a tanker in Columbiana County.

The crash happened Saturday night on State Route 172 in West Township, near Zepernick Lake.

It's not clear how the tanker and another car ended up colliding, but the impact caused the tanker to flip over shutting down that stretch of road down for several hours.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Columbiana Post tells 21 News one person died in the crash and at least two others were injured. The conditions of those victims is not known at the time.

The crash is under investigation.
