MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) - Detectives are sharing details of horrific physical and sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl inside a home in Texas.

Two women are now in prison.

Tania and Brenda Garcia are sisters that investigators at Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said took in a 12-year-old girl in March who said she was being abused by an uncle she was living with.

Court documents detail months of abuse. The child was found two weeks ago with an infected gash on her head and injuries all over her body.

Detectives said the victim’s biological mother lives in another country.

Deputies said the child sought help from Brenda Garcia, whose daughter knows the child’s uncle.
