Release Mount Hope Bridge report

The recent release of the Washington Bridge forensic report lists very troubling oversight and governance issues at the RIDOT. While many mistakes were made, there is a consistent theme of lack of leadership, oversight, governance and transparency.

The issues spanned multiple administrations, but in the end the governor appointed the RIDOT leadership which has been covering up these issues. The Democratic leadership in the legislature and state officers appear to provide political cover for our Democratic governor.

It took a catastrophic failure, followed by a leaked report, to expose what our governor and RIDOT have been covering up. Understandably, the public, local governments, and business leaders have lost trust.
