Warmer and windy conditions return to the state today bringing some summer-like warmth for the afternoon. A few spotty showers are possible as well, with rain chances scattered throughout the upcoming week.

Increasing clouds and southerly breezes helped to keep temperatures mild this morning, with most of the state waking up to reading in the upper 50s and low 60s. The south winds brought slightly more humid air as well, though the humidity will remain below typical summer levels. A few spotty showers or sprinkles will come with cloudy skies this morning, especially for western and northern Iowa.
