Being new to town — any town — can be really isolating. But since January, and thanks to Rogers Free Library (RFL) and Ann Kathrin Weldy, their Adult Programming and Outreach Coordinator, there’s a new way to meet new people and make some friends in Bristol.
“I think post COVID people got disconnected and now they’re trying to find new ways to reconnect with others in the area,” said Eileen Dyer, RFL director.
The newcomers group draws 10-20 people at each meeting, a real mix of people — some are new to town, others are seasonal, and there are plenty of longtime residents who just enjoy the opportunity to get out and meet someone new. It’s completely open.
