WEST HAVEN, Conn. — Connecticut’s shoreline communities are preparing for a challenging weather day ahead as forecasters warn of stronger winds and coastal flooding expected to impact the region.

While conditions remained relatively calm Sunday morning along the coast in West Haven, residents are being urged not to let the quiet conditions fool them.
