Hundreds of thousands of families are missing out on TENS OF THOUSANDS in Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HMRC benefit cash because the wrong partner is claiming.

BBC and ITV star Martin Lewis said making the mistake could add up to £10,000s of missing cash over the years. Families could be missing out on cash because of a simple Child Benefit mistake, Mr Lewis warned.

The 52-year-old reckons it's all because the wrong parent has been put down on the Child Benefit application. It's thought about 200,000 families have made this mistake.
