MAYFIELD, Ky. (WSIL) -- Graves County Sheriff's deputies pulled over a vehicle on KY97 which led to the arrest of a Mayfield woman on drug charges.

The sheriff's office said their deputy Austin Ramage stopped Natasha Allen, 36, after seeing a traffic violation in the late hours on October 9. Authorities said a K9 unit alerted to the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle, leading to a search.

The sheriff's office reported finding approximately 3 grams of methamphetamine, U.S. currency, a glass smoking pipe with residue, and other drug paraphernalia.

Allen showed signs of drug impairment, the sheriff's office added. She was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, careless driving, failure to maintain insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and DUI.
