Depending on what side you are on, artificial intelligence is a tool for humans to use — or something that will take over humanity like depicted in Hollywood films.

“AI can enhance our knowledge, not replace it,” said Jason Opal, dean and director of the Ohio State University at Mansfield. “It can save time in helping us find the information. It is a tool like a computer is. As long as there is a human hand involved with it, we should not be worried. It is a tool we have to learn how to use. We do not have to turn over the keys to civilization to it.”
