NORFOLK, Va. — Due to unfavorable weather conditions across Virginia, the Carnival Sunshine will be unable to dock in Norfolk until Monday morning, shortening its next cruise by one day, the company announced Saturday.
Guests will receive another update by 4 p.m. ET Sunday, Oct. 12, as the cruise line continues to monitor conditions.
A strong nor’easter currently stalled near the Carolinas is expected to move north toward Hampton Roads today, bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, and coastal flooding. The storm is forecast to linger offshore into Monday, prolonging hazardous marine conditions that make docking unsafe.
