Following Steven Gerrard’s rejection, Rangers are reportedly looking at a Manchester United legend to become their new manager.

A week after sacking Russell Martin following a disastrous start to the season, Rangers appear no closer to finding his replacement in the dugout.

Gerrard emerged as the early favourite for the job having guided the Scottish giants to their last league title in 2021, with fans hopeful he would return.

Talks were held, but the Liverpool legend withdrew from the interview process on Saturday night, feeling the timing was not right to return to Glasgow.

The Gers are prepared to take their time to ensure they make the right appointment after Martin lasted just four months and 17 games.
