Thomas Tuchel has been accused of overlooking England star Jack Grealish for ‘personal’ reasons.

Grealish was one of the high-profile absentees from the squad Tuchel selected for last week’s friendly against Wales and Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Latvia.

The 30-year-old, a Premier League and Champions League winner with Manchester City, missed out despite his revival in form while on loan at Everton.

Grealish has made four assists and scored one goal in his first seven Premier League appearances for Everton but his impressive form was not enough to earn him his first England cap since October 2024.

The dynamic attacker played for England at Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup but was left out of Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2024.
