PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Time to gear up for a pretty soggy Sunday afternoon and evening.

Plenty of rainy moments are expected up and down the Oregon Coast and Willamette Valley on Sunday with soaking rain at times. And those daytimes high are going to continue to sit well below normal as we wrap up the weekend. Temperatures are expected to only warm into the mid-50s on Sunday and Monday.

Plus, wet mountain snow is expected across the southern Washington Cascades as well as both the northern and central Oregon Cascades.

Snow elevation levels will fall to just above 4,000 feet Sunday and into Monday morning. Snow totals during this span could approach a foot of accumulated snow for Oregon's highest mountain peaks, with 4-6 inches expected at just about the 4,000 foot mark — in other words
