The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) has shortlisted two consultancy agencies to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed 20-km Kondhwa–Shivajinagar Metro route.

According to Maha-Metro officials, the DPR will be financed by the Government of India, and the proposal has been forwarded for necessary approvals. Once the final agency is selected, the report is expected to be completed within three to four months.

An official stated, “We received three tenders for this project and shortlisted two firms. The work will commence soon after the approval is granted. The DPR preparation cost will be covered by the Union government.”
