WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — West Hartford firefighters quickly contained a basement fire early Saturday morning.
At around 12:49 a.m., firefighters responded to 252 Penn Drive.
The residents reported smoke inside the home, prompting firefighters to investigate. Firefighters found smoke coming from the basement and located a small fire next to the boiler, which was quickly extinguished.
The West Hartford Police Department responded to provide traffic control during the emergency response. The West Hartford Fire Marshal’s Office also responded to investigate the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported. Following ventilation and air quality monitoring, the home was deemed safe.
