MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Sixteen people were arrested at the University of Wisconsin homecoming football game against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday, according to the UW-Madison Police Department.

UWPD said 10 of those people arrested were UW students.

Twenty-eight people were also kicked out of the game, with 18 of those ejections being students from the university, said UWPD.

Police said they issued 19 citations on Saturday. 14 of those were tied to underage alcohol use. Other reasons for citations included throwing objects, UW theft, being disorderly, and smoking and vaping.

UWPD added that there were 15 first aid calls, 8 paramedic calls, and three ambulance transports.
